So talk to me! what decks are you guys playing? Anyone have any fun new decklists (standard, EDH, Modern, anyhting!)? Any cool magic-related plans coming up?

My babies <3 I need 4 more cards and then my Eggs deck is finally done and I can stop borrowing my brothers fetches and shocklands.

Hazezon Tamar EDH and Amulet of Vigor combo decks are like 90% proxies at the moment, and my 12 Post deck is about 50% proxied, though I’m not expecting that to be done anytime soon, since it runs Show and Tell, Candelabra of Tawnos, and Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale, and those cards alone are like $600, I think it should be done though by the time i start school next year because I want to start playing legacy and modern kinda competitively.

Oh, and I think I’ll be deck-teching the Amulet of Vigor combo deck. I’ve only ever seen the list once, and the list I found is highly unreliable and inconsistent, so I’ll be fiddling with that all week and you guys can expect a deck tech sometime this weekend, or next Monday at the latest =)

So I’m officially on spring break after tomorrow, and I want to post another deck tech. You guys can request a deck if you’d like (legacy, modern, or EDH), but ‘d prefer doing it on Modern U/G Elfball, Modern Amulet of Vigor Combo, or Legacy 12 Post seeing as those are the decks I’ve been toying around with lately. 

So, what would you guys like to see?

I did pretty poorly and ended up dropping. I played a modified version of the Boros event deck, so obviously I wasn’t expecting to win, I just missed  playing my humans lol. I can post the decklist if you guys want, but its not really anything special.

Anyway, my brother placed 24th out of 55, which isn’t all that bad, he was playing Naya midrange.

The highlight of my night though was opening my first box of gatecrash (I know, I’m a little late to the party). I opened a foil Domri Rade, a Gideon, three shocklands, and some other fun cards. Also, one of the kids that was there for a Yugioh tournament taught me how to play Vangaurd, and now I’m kinda hooked. There’s a little bit of a learning curve to it, but its not that difficult once you get the hang of it. I bought two intro decks, the Oracle Think Tank one and the Nova Grapplers I just wish I didn’t have so much to do (and that I could stop procrastinating on doing that stuff, but thats besides the point) so that I could play more and learn enought about it to tweak my decks and start to make them my own. I think I have a slight addiction to card games.

Does anyone else play Vanguard? What kind of decks do you use?

So thats the link to my eggs deck, I’m trying to prepare it for a modern tournament over break. i would greatly appreciate any suggestion and advice from anyone that plays modern. 

I hope no one wanted to buy it, cuz loyal retainers is in it. its going to cost like $200 for the whole arsenal, if not more
