EDIT: Predator Ooze would go great in this deck, i totally forgot about him till now. I don’t know what I’d swap out for him but he’d make a great addition to this deck. Just watch out, if you use the mirrorweave combo he loses his indestructibility and +1/+1 counter abilities (in most circumstances)

I’ve been working on this deck for a while now, and i think i finally have the final decklist for it (other than the sideboard, i’m iffy on that but i’ll explain it in a bit.). This deck started as a joke, after a match between Keith and I where i was playing my aura deck and Lignified a huge creature he controlled making it pointless other than as a blocker (i believe it was something large like his Novablast Wurm or something…), and we started joking about other cards like it.
So after some research and a couple days of scouring The Gatherer (Wizards of the Coast’s Magic card database) i found all of the cards that, like Lignify, make creatures about as pointless as a Dredge deck up against a Grafdigger’s cage. Mixing those cards with creatures that rely on +1/+1 counters and a little bit of control, i’ve made a deck that is fun to play, easy to use, and fairly decent.
Okay, the battlefield’s loaded, your opponent has a few wall of denials, a couple Guard Gomozoas, and a few other things that are hard to get through. You have a 64/64 Primordial hydra and 2 9/9 Scute Mobs that cant get through, and nine or so mana (its late game), as well as a counterbalance. You draw, its a Lignify. The rest of your hand? A counterspell, phytohydra, and, thank god, mirror-weave. Play the lignify, and Bam! one of his creatures is a pointless. Now out comes mirror-weave, and all his creatures are just as useless, while mine are practically gods on the battlefield since they run off of primarily +1/+1 counters and only there base stats would be changed by the mirror-weave lignify combo.
Obviously that was an ideal situation =P
Okay, on to the sideboard, Swords to plowshares is in there for a those pesky critters that are indestructible like predator ooze and cant be destroyed normally, though they can still be killed with the combo mentioned above, its just nice to have a little more control in your life. Increasing Savagery is in there because its just an amazing card, even more so in a deck that relies on counters for strength. The black mana producers and the Black/White card Zealous Persecution are for those pesky little decks that swarm but loads of tokens or other things that for whatever reason cant be killed by this decks main combos. all you’d nee to do is cast diminish or snakeform, then mirror-weave the creature you targeted, and then cast zealous persecution to blow up the battlefield while your’s is untouched.
Well guys, i hope that deck piqued your interest! Happy Gaming Planeswalkers!

(P.S. Lets just all assume that those wall of denials and guard gomazoas represent my U/W control deck which he absolutely hates -Keith)
(P.S.S. fuck your wall of denials and dumb jellyfish. - Wil)
